What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to consistent quality standards
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
- Portioning and plating dishes according to specifications and presentation standards
- Following recipes and cooking techniques whilst maintaining food safety and hygiene protocols
- Managing prep work and ingredient organisation to ensure efficient service
- Assisting with food ordering and stock rotation to minimise waste
- Responding to customer requirements and dietary needs with professionalism and care
- Supporting the team during busy service periods and contributing to a positive workplace culture
What we're looking for
- Proven experience working as a Cook in a hospitality or cafe setting
- Robust knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining food quality
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene and sanitation
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to manage a part-time schedule
