The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The role involves food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, hygiene, and service.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing, seasoning and cooking a variety of dishes according to menu requirements
- Assisting in planning and organising food preparation for smooth kitchen operations
- Ensuring ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet quality standards
- Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers safely and efficiently
- Portioning, plating, and presenting dishes to maintain consistency and quality
- Preparing meals to meet dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free,



allergen-aware)
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas and equipment
- Assisting in supervising and supporting junior kitchen staff

Qualifications & Experience

- Relevant AQF qualification (Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Cook or in a similar commercial kitchen role.
- Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety requirements.
- Strong communication, teamwork, organisation, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment while maintaining food quality and presentation.
