Duties · To participate in the day-to-day production of food and assist with the efficient, cost effective and smooth running of the kitchen.

· Assist in menu creation and innovation.

· Monitoring food production and mentoring junior kitchen staff.

· Adhering to food production and presentation standards, service procedures and service times.

· Ensuring proper food storage and stock rotation procedures are adhered to.





· Responding to and treating colleagues with professional respect and courtesy.

· Adhering to occupational health and safety guidelines, as outlined in the induction manual and other policies.

Required experience / qualifications

· Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent.

· 2-3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen as a chef.

Required Skills

· Good communication and a willingness to follow direction.

· Excellent hygiene practices.

· Good work ethic.

· Efficient and organised.

· Attention to detail.
