Dental Assistant & Receptionist – Dual Role

About the role

We're looking for a caring, motivated and experienced Dental Assistant & Receptionist to join our friendly team at Allenby Gardens Dental. This is a dual-position role combining chairside dental assisting with front-office reception duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both clinical work and interacting with patients. Working alongside our dentists and reception team, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality clinical support while ensuring every patient receives a warm, welcoming and professional experience from the moment they walk through our doors.

Key responsibilities

- Providing efficient and confident chairside assistance across general dentistry.
- Welcoming patients, managing appointments and assisting with front-desk enquiries.
- Using D4W dental software confidently for bookings, patient records and administrative tasks.
- Answering phone calls, confirming appointments and managing patient communications.
- Preparing surgeries and equipment for patient care.
- Maintaining excellent infection control, sterilisation and clinical standards.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of both the clinical and reception areas.
- Creating a positive, friendly and qualified experience for every patient.

About you

- Experienced in chairside assisting across general dentistry.




- Ideally experienced in dental reception and front-office administration.
- Confident using D4W dental software.
- Friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys working with patients.
- Reliable, punctual, organised and professional.
- Able to multitask and confidently switch between clinical and reception duties.
- Committed to excellent patient care, infection control and sterilisation standards.
- A strong team player who is eager to learn, develop and contribute to the practice.
