About the role The Dental Practice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team in Burwood, NSW. This is a full-time position (part time position also considered) that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our dental practitioners. As a Dental Nurse, you will be at the heart of our practice, ensuring a smooth, efficient and comfortable experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

Your contributions will directly impact patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes and the overall success of our practice.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures by preparing instruments, materials and equipment
- Providing chairside support during examinations, restorations, extractions and other dental treatments
- Sterilising and maintaining all dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Taking and processing intraoral and extraoral radiographs as required
- Recording patient information accurately and maintaining detailed clinical records
- Welcoming patients, managing appointments and ensuring the reception area is welcoming and organised
- Providing oral health education and post-operative instructions to patients
- Managing patient flow within the practice to optimise efficiency
- Assisting with sterilisation procedures, stock management and general practice administration
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic clinical environment at all times

What we're looking for

- Current registration eligibility to register as a Dental Nurse
- Relevant dental nursing qualification or equivalent experience- minimum 3 years
- Strong knowledge of infection control and health and safety protocols in a dental environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of care
- Proficiency with dental software and basic computer skills D4Web/windows desirable




- A caring and patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery
- Reliable, organised and detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous learning
- Flexibility to accommodate the needs of the practice schedule
- Previous experience in a surgical /implant dental practice is highly valued but we welcome applications from motivated individuals keen to further develop their career in dentistry
