/n Current Opportunity – Rosebud, VIC/n

/n We are seeking a reliable, respectful and personable Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing in-home assistance and community access support to a participant in Rosebud./n
/n
/n
/n
/n
/n The role combines practical household assistance with support to attend shopping trips and visit family members. Building a comfortable, consistent working relationship with the participant is particularly important./n

/n
/n
/n Proposed Support Schedule:/n
/n /n
- Mondays – 3 hours weekly: Meal preparation, ironing and other agreed household tasks.
/n
- Thursdays – 4 hours fortnightly: Community access, including shopping, transport and visits to family members.
/n /n
/n Days and times may be negotiated to suit the participant’s preferences and the availability of a suitable support worker./n
/n
/n
/n
/n
/n Key Responsibilities:/n
/n /n
- Assist with meal preparation according to the participant’s preferences.
/n
- Complete ironing and other agreed household tasks.
/n
- Support shopping and community outings.
/n
- Provide transport for agreed activities and family visits.
/n
- Offer companionship and respectful social engagement.
/n
- Encourage independence and support participant choice.
/n
- Follow the participant’s support plan and agreed routines.
/n
- Maintain accurate progress notes and support documentation.

/n
/n About You:/n
/n
/n We are seeking someone who is:/n
/n /n
- Reliable, punctual and able to provide consistent support.
/n
- Patient, respectful and professional.
/n
- Confident assisting with meal preparation, ironing and household tasks.
/n
- Comfortable supporting shopping trips, community outings and family visits.
/n
- Able to build rapport while maintaining appropriate skilled boundaries.
/n
- Responsive to the participant’s preferences and individual support needs.
/n
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with the coordination team.

/n What You Will Need:/n
/n
/n Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain where applicable:/n
/n /n
- Certificate III in Individual Support or an equivalent/relevant qualification.
/n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
/n
- Current National Police Check.
/n
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification.
/n
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
/n
- Australian working rights.
/n
- Current driver’s licence.
/n
- A reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for transporting the participant.
/n
- Australian Business Number (ABN) or willingness to obtain one.
