About the role A Full-Time Duty Manager position at Sunshine Beach Surf Club, a vibrant, community-focused venue offering exceptional food, drinks, gaming, entertainment and functions with stunning ocean views. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys leading people, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role involves taking ownership, leading by example and actively contributing to the Club's success.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily Club operations across bar, gaming, reception, restaurant and functions

- Lead, motivate and develop staff to deliver outstanding customer service

- Manage shifts efficiently, including staffing levels, labour costs and operational performance

- Drive sales, productivity and continuous improvement

- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, WHS and Club policies

- Manage customer enquiries, complaints and operational challenges professionally

- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling and security

- Support functions, entertainment and special events

- Maintain high standards of venue presentation and cleanliness

- Work collaboratively with the management team to achieve Club goals and KPIs

About you





- Previous leadership experience in hospitality, preferably within a licensed club or busy venue

- Strong people management, communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to lead by example

- Good understanding of wage management, sales performance and operational efficiency

- Current RSA and RSG certificates

- RMLV qualification or willingness to obtain

- Diploma of Hospitality Management desirable

- Availability to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
