About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the operation, maintenance and improvement of electrical systems and machinery at our Nangwarry facility. The successful candidate will contribute to equipment reliability, electrical fault diagnosis, engineering improvements and the safe and efficient operation of timber processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and maintain electrical systems and components of machinery and equipment at the Nangwarry facility to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
- Conduct electrical equipment inspections, testing and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain operational reliability.
- Identify electrical faults, diagnose technical issues and coordinate or undertake appropriate corrective repairs.
- Assist in evaluating, designing and implementing electrical system improvements, equipment upgrades and energy-efficiency measures.
- Review relevant electrical drawings, equipment specifications and technical documentation to support equipment operation, maintenance and improvement.
- Assess equipment performance,



identify recurring faults and recommend practical engineering solutions to improve reliability and production efficiency.
- Support the planning and coordination of electrical maintenance activities and equipment upgrades in collaboration with site personnel and technical service providers.
- Ensure electrical maintenance activities comply with applicable safety requirements, company procedures and relevant Australian standards.
- Maintain electrical maintenance records, test results and compliance documentation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical safety practices.

Essential Requirements
- A relevant master qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- At least one year of relevant experience in electrical systems, industrial machinery, equipment maintenance or a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose electrical faults, troubleshoot technical problems and implement appropriate solutions.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment testing, preventative maintenance and applicable electrical safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment specifications and relevant standards.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Requirements
- Experience in timber processing, manufacturing, sawmilling or a similar industrial environment.
- Experience with industrial equipment upgrades, electrical system improvements or energy-efficiency initiatives.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
