Like working with your hands? Want to learn a trade and get paid while you do it? Collier & Miller is looking for our next Welding Fabrication and Fitting & Machining apprentices.

You’ll get hands-on in our Griffith engineering workshop, learning from experienced tradespeople while working on real machinery and engineering projects.

Plus, you’ll work towards a fully funded Certificate III in Engineering, with TAFE completed during work hours.

What You’ll Get to Do

This isn’t about standing around watching. As your skills grow, you’ll learn to:

- Build heavy-duty agricultural machinery and equipment
- Cut, shape, weld and machine steel
- Use contemporary workshop machinery, tools and welding equipment
- Read engineering drawings and turn them into finished components
- Repair machinery and solve real engineering problems

Learn to cut, shape and weld steel to build agricultural machinery, custom components and one-off engineering jobs. If you like working with your hands and seeing what you’ve built at the end of the day, this could be the trade for you.

Fitting & Machining – Like figuring out how things work?

Learn to make, repair and fine-tune precision components using modern machining equipment.



If you enjoy machinery, problem-solving and getting things right, this could be your trade.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need trade experience – that’s what the apprenticeship is for.

We’re looking for people who:

- Have a good attitude and are willing to learn
- Are interested in tools, machinery and hands-on work
- Have basic maths and problem-solving skills
- Are reliable and ready to put in the effort
- Can listen, follow instructions and work safely
- Take pride in doing a job properly

You’ll also need to be physically fit, pass a pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol test, and be ready to commit to a four-year apprenticeship. Why C&M;?
