Position Title: English Teacher

Position Type: Full Time – Ongoing

Start Date: Friday 1 January 2027

Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join our team commencing Friday 1 January 2027. The successful candidate will teach English across Years 8 to 12 and be dedicated to fostering students' literacy, communication and critical thinking skills. Working collaboratively with colleagues within the English Learning Area, the teacher will deliver engaging and high-quality learning experiences, support student achievement, and contribute to a positive, inclusive and faith-filled learning environment that reflects the values of the College.

Responsibilities include:

- Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality English lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students across Years 8 to 12.
- Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Fostering students' literacy, critical thinking, communication and analytical skills through a range of literary and language-based learning experiences.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, wellbeing and achievement.
- Contributing to the pastoral care, co-curricular and faith-life programs of the College.
- Collaborating with colleagues, parents and the wider College community to support the holistic development and success of students.
- Actively participating in curriculum development, professional learning and continuous improvement initiatives within the English Learning Area.
- Supporting students in accessing curriculum content and classroom activities
- Assisting with the implementation of individualised education plans and learning strategies




- Encouraging student engagement, independence and confidence
- Contributing to pastoral care and co curricular programs
- Collaborating with staff to support student wellbeing and holistic development
