- Your office is at Level 48, 8 Parramatta Square, literally above the train station. Light rail, ferry and the M4 are all close by, and the coffee is excellent.
- You’ll work closely with senior lawyers who value your input, share their knowledge and want to see you succeed.
- You’ll have your own caseload of proper, meaty matters, and the freedom to run them.
- You’ll have opportunities to support junior lawyers, share what you know and keep developing your own skills.
- Flexible working arrangements are available, with hybrid flexibility considered by agreement after probation.

What lands on your desk

- Big property settlements, including ones with trusts, companies and third parties
- Parenting disputes, relocation and international cases included
- Child support assessments and disputes
- Multi-party, high-conflict proceedings
- Divorces
- Domestic and family violence matters, including the contested ones
- Spousal maintenance




- Binding Financial Agreements
- Mediations and dispute resolution conferences
- Federal Circuit and Family Court, from complex interlocutory applications to final hearings

Sounds like you if:

- You have 3+ years’ PAE, mostly in family law
- You know the Federal Circuit and Family Court rules and procedures like the back of your hand
- You’ve carried matters from start to finish
- Your drafting is sharp: affidavits, Initiating Applications, Responses, Financial Statements, Consent Orders, letters
- You’re at ease on your feet at mentions, mediations, directions and interim hearings
- You can be warm with a frightened client and firm with a difficult one, including high-net-worth and high-conflict clients
- You can juggle a full caseload without missing a court deadline
- You’re a good person to have in the room, and you want to build a long-term career in family law

Nice to have:

- Complex parenting and property experience
- Comfort with e-filing and practice management software
- A referral network, or an appetite for building one
