Senior Financial Planner / Adviser – Brisbane or Sydney
Our client is a well-established Australian financial services group that brings legal, accounting, wealth and private capital together under one roof. Their wealth division is a national network of advisers managing several billion dollars in funds and is ranked among the top 20 wealth groups in Australia.
The group stands apart because its clients get more than one service. A client can come in for advice and also get tax structuring, legal guidance and access to lending, all from the one team. The group is now in an active merger and acquisition phase. That means real growth, new opportunities, and room for strong advisers to build something meaningful.
The Opportunity
This is a chance to join a growing advice business at an important stage. Whether you're self-employed and want the backing of a larger group, or you're employed and ready for a practice with more momentum, this role gives you room to grow your book.
Advisers with an existing client base are strongly encouraged to apply. Our client is open to talking about arrangements that make it easy to bring your clients across. You'll also have the legal, accounting and lending capabilities behind you, so you can offer your clients a much broader service than a standalone practice can.
The role can be based in either Brisbane or Sydney CBD offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, strategic financial advice to a growing base of private clients
- Build and manage long-term client relationships, including transitioning your existing clients where relevant
- Prepare and present Statements of Advice and ongoing reviews in line with compliance requirements
- Work with in-house legal, accounting and capital teams to deliver well-rounded solutions for clients
- Find new business opportunities and grow your client base as the group expands
- Contribute to a collaborative, client-first culture during a period of strong growth
About You
- Registered relevant provider on ASIC's Financial Advisers Register, meeting the current education and exam standards
- At least 3–4 years' experience as a financial planner or adviser
- An existing client base you could bring across is highly regarded
- Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin
- Strong technical knowledge across strategy, investment, superannuation and risk
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with a genuine interest in your clients' long-term outcomes
- Self-motivated and commercially minded, whether you're currently self-employed or employed
- A professional, ethical approach and a solid focus on compliance
Role Highlights
- Join a top-20 Australian wealth group in an active M&A; growth phase
- Bring your existing clients across, with arrangements open for discussion
- Offer clients integrated legal, accounting and private lending support, all in-house
- Flexible location: Brisbane or Sydney
- Real scope to grow your book and your career as the business expands
- Backing and resources of a national group without losing the personal, client-first approach
