Captain Salty Wednesday – Friday: 7:00am – 2:30pm

Saturday – Sunday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable team members to join our friendly and energetic team across Captain Salty and The General Store in Hat Head.

We have two positions available:

Front of House / Barista – Captain Salty

This is a hands-on customer service role working in our busy fish and chip shop. You’ll help deliver excellent food and friendly service while supporting the day-to-day operation of the business.

About the role:

Part-time or full-time hours available

- Summer and Christmas availability is essential
- Weekend availability is required
- Barista experience is desirable, but not essential
- Cooking or food preparation experience is desirable, but not essential
- Customer service experience is highly regarded
- Assist with food preparation and service
- Operate cooking and food preparation equipment safely
- Prepare and serve food to a consistently high standard
- Take orders and provide friendly, efficient customer service
- Assist with cleaning, stock management and maintaining a safe, tidy workplace
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards

Shop Assistant – The General Store As a Shop Assistant,



you’ll be responsible for providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of The General Store.

About the role:

Part-time or full-time hours available

- Summer and Christmas availability is essential
- Weekend availability is required
- RSA is essential
- Open and close shifts will be required
- Customer service experience is highly regarded
- Serve customers, process payments and operate the till
- Assist customers with enquiries and provide friendly service
- Receive deliveries and restock shelves
- Rotate stock using FIFO principles
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well-presented store
- Check stock for damaged or expired products
- Assist with general store operations as required
