About the Role

We are recruiting Handyman & Groundsman to join either our Preventative Maintenance Team and/or our Reactive Maintenance Team, depending on experience, preference and operational requirements.

· Preventative Maintenance Team focuses on planned, scheduled maintenance works carried out in line with daily and weekly programs.

· Reactive Maintenance Team responds to maintenance jobs that may be scheduled at short notice and require flexibility and strong time management.

Across both teams, the role involves a broad range of maintenance activities, from general repairs through to installation, removal and renovation works, depending on project requirements.

Technicians must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable travelling across different job sites.

Key Responsibilities

· Carry out a broad range of general maintenance, repair and grounds maintenance works across client sites.

· Depending on team allocation, undertake scheduled preventative maintenance or attend reactive maintenance jobs, including short-notice work where required

· Read and interpret work orders, job scopes and site requirements accurately

· Follow set job schedules and manage time effectively to complete planned tasks within agreed timeframes.

· Identify and report any hazards or site issues to the supervisor/service manager.





· Communicate job progress, variations or issues clearly.

· Apply sound trade judgement to complete works efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards

· Represent APMG professionally when interacting with site staff at all times

· Adhere to safety procedures, PPE requirements and site access rules

Required Skills and Experience

· Proven experience in general maintenance, ground maintenance, building maintenance or multi-trade roles

· Strong hands-on skills across renovation, repair and installation works

· Ability to work within either a structured preventative maintenance schedule or a reactive maintenance environment, depending on the team you are placed in.

· Strong time management and reliability, with the ability to attend sites on time

· Willingness to travel between multiple sites during the day

· Current Australian driver’s licence

· Working With Children Check (essential-employer check)

· Hold a valid police check (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour

Experience

- Handyman or similar capacity: 3 years (Preferred)
- Groundskeeping: 2 years (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Working with Children Check (Preferred)
- National Police Check (Preferred)
