Jones Group is continuing to expand its civil infrastructure and horizontal directional drilling operations across New South Wales, and we’re looking for skilled, reliable people to join our growing team.

With ongoing projects and a strong pipeline of upcoming work, we’re seeking experienced plant operators as well as motivated people who want to build a long-term career in the civil and HDD industry.

Roles Available

We are currently looking for:

HDD Operators

HDD Offsiders / Trainee Operators

Civil Trade Assistants / Labourers

Applicants should ideally have experience across:

Excavators and general civil plant

Vacuum excavation

Trenching and excavation

Underground services

Civil infrastructure projects

Telecommunications, water and/or power infrastructure

Working around horizontal directional drilling operations

Essential Requirements

Current HR Driver Licence – Mandatory

Relevant plant tickets/competencies

Construction White Card

Strong commitment to safety

Ability to work effectively as part of a crew

Reliable, professional attitude

Willingness and ability to work away from home when required

Ability to pass relevant pre-employment requirements

Jones Group is also interested in hearing from Trade Assistants and civil labourers who are willing to learn Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)



and civil infrastructure construction.

Working away from home will be required, so applicants must be comfortable travelling and working as part of a project-based crew.
