Australian Airport Lighting is seeking a suitably experienced Skilled Labourer for a Permanent Full-Time position based in Townsville, QLD. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of airfield infrastructure and civil construction projects, with work undertaken locally and at various locations throughout Australia.

Key responsibilities

Operating excavators, Bobcats (skid steer loaders) and other mobile plant and equipment

Undertaking general civil construction and labouring duties

Excavation, trenching, backfilling and site preparation works

Assisting with the installation and maintenance of airfield lighting infrastructure

Loading, unloading and transporting materials, tools and equipment

Assisting with site mobilisation, demobilisation and general site preparation

Working collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople, subcontractors and other site personnel

Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment

About you

Right to work in Australia

White Card (Construction Induction)

Current driver's licence

Previous experience operating excavators and Bobcats (skid steer loaders)

Relevant plant operating tickets,



licences or demonstrated competency

Ability to pass an AFP Security Check

Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

Ability and willingness to travel throughout Australia and overseas as required

Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and specifications

Committed, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, with positive organisational skills

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Ability to undertake physically demanding work in varying weather conditions

MR or HR Driver's Licence

Additional plant operating tickets and experience

Previous experience in civil construction, trenching and underground infrastructure installation

Experience working in an airport or airfield environment
