About the role

Kintyre Building Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Journeyman Roofer or Skilled Roofing Labourer to join our team in Seven Hills, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality roofing solutions to our clients across residential and commercial roofing projects. Whether you are a qualified journeyman roofer or an experienced roofing labourer, you will be integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the building trades sector.

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst contributing to a team committed to professional standards and customer satisfaction. Transition from working on the tools to working in management is on offer.

Key responsibilities

- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems including tiles, metal roofing, and other roofing materials

- Prepare roofing surfaces and ensure proper waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met

- Work safely at heights whilst adhering to all workplace health and safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols

- Measure, cut and fit roofing materials to specifications with precision and accuracy

- Assist with the loading, unloading and organisation of materials and equipment on site

- Collaborate with other tradespeople and site supervisors to ensure project timelines are met

- Perform general site maintenance and cleanup duties

- Conduct routine inspections to identify damaged or worn roofing and recommend repairs

- Use tools and equipment correctly and maintain them in good working condition

- Follow specifications and plans accurately

What we're looking for

- Formal roofing qualification or demonstrated extensive experience in roofing works

- Current or valid trade licence as a Journeyman Roofer (or equivalent)

- Proven experience working on residential and/or commercial roofing projects

- Competency in working at heights and knowledge of relevant safety standards and procedures





- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

- Robust physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions

- Excellent hand-tool and power-tool operation skills

- Knowledge of building codes and roofing industry standards

- Team-focused approach with strong communication skills

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Current drivers licence
