We're recruiting for a technically capable person to take responsibility for laboratory and quality performance.

The role offers scope to apply your knowledge, improve how testing supports the business and help colleagues make sound technical decisions. You’ll organise laboratory activities, work through quality issues and recommend practical improvements that support operational performance.

Your responsibilities will include

- Ensure testing provides consistent, reliable information when it is needed.
- Interpret results and provide practical technical advice that improves quality, reduces risk and supports efficient operations.
- Investigate technical concerns, explain findings clearly and help resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain effective quality procedures, records and corrective actions.
- Oversee relevant monitoring and reporting requirements to support compliance.
- Guide colleagues, coordinate priorities and improve the laboratory’s overall performance.

Success will be reflected in dependable testing, fewer recurring quality problems, timely technical decisions and improvements that carry through into everyday work. Your background could include laboratory testing, chemistry, materials,



technical services or quality. You may already lead a team, or be ready to take broader responsibility after developing strong technical capability.

We’re interested in how you approach problems, apply your knowledge and follow an issue through to a practical outcome. You’ll need to understand testing and its limitations, recognise when further investigation is needed and communicate recommendations confidently.

Experience improving procedures, supporting audits, training colleagues or coordinating technical work will be valuable. Relevant scientific or technical qualifications will also be well regarded.
