- Provide friendly, helpful and effective customer service to IGA customers.
- Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold food items, including sandwiches, rolls, wraps and other ready-to-eat deli products.
- Prepare sandwich fillings, slice ingredients, assemble sandwiches and serve customers according to their preferences.
- Operate deli equipment and cooking appliances safely, following food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Replenish shelves, fridges and displays with fresh produce, dairy products, meat and other perishable items.
- Check product freshness, quality and expiry dates, ensuring stock is rotated correctly.
- Monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures and maintain the correct storage conditions for perishable products.
- Receive deliveries,



check stock and organise products in storage areas.
- Maintain clean and hygienic deli counters, food preparation areas, equipment, shelves and refrigeration units.
- Assist with stock control, stock rotation, reducing food waste and removing expired or damaged products.
- Follow IGA store procedures, food safety regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily store operations.
- Assist customers with product enquiries and maintain attractive, well-stocked displays throughout the store.
