Marketing Coordinator – MAFS (Marketing, Activity, Functions & Social)

We’re a local, independent hospitality group running two of the North Shore’s busiest “Third Places”: Depot Brewery and Buckle Café Distillery.

From coffee to cocktails and breakfast to beers, we serve great product with even better energy. We put on live music, weekend events, sports nights, functions and community gatherings, plus a growing wholesale side.

We’re growing, and we need a creative, organised person to pull it all together across marketing, promotions, content and events.

The role

MAFS covers everything Marketing, Activity, Functions & Social. You’ll be in charge of how our venues look and feel, both online and on the floor. You’ll work closely with our General Managers, the venue team and our external marketing agency.

What you’ll do

Marketing

- Come up with ideas and write copy for promos, events and brand stories
- Own in-venue and external branding: signage, posters, chalkboards, screens, menus and collateral
- Brief and work with our agency on social strategy, content and email campaigns
- Track simple numbers: engagement, foot traffic and how promos perform

Activity

- Plan and run monthly venue promos (Depot Nights, key trading dates, product releases)
- Keep the calendar lined up with holidays, sport, entertainment and new beer and spirit launches
- Build small campaigns aimed at specific crowds: families, local workers, musicians and sports fans




- Support wholesale activity and offsite activations (festivals, tastings, launches)

Functions & Events
- Handle function enquiries from first contact through to booking, run sheet, payment and handover to the team on the day
- Help coordinate live music, public events and private functions
- Be on site to make sure events look sharp and run smoothly, then review how they went

Social

- Shoot photos, videos and reels for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Be comfortable being one of the faces of our brands
- Build the content calendar with our agency and hit deadlines
- Run the community side: reply to comments, share stories and grow a loyal local following

About you

- You love hospo, events and digital culture
- Your camera roll is full of great photos and funny videos
- You’re confident writing captions, cutting reels and working on site at events
- You know your way around Canva, CapCut or Adobe, or you’re keen to learn
- You’re energetic, reliable and creative, and you’re a team player
- You want real ownership and to grow with the business
