About the Role

This position combines linehaul driving with general yard duties, playing an important role in ensuring:

· Freight is collected then transported and handled safely and efficiently.

· You will be responsible for completing scheduled freight runs plus assisting with loading and unloading.

· Maintaining an organised and safe yard.

This role involves more than just driving, with yard work and freight handling forming an key part of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Linehaul Driving

- Operate a prime mover and trailer combination safely and professionally.
- Complete scheduled linehaul runs between designated locations.
- Collect & deliver freight in accordance with agreed schedules and cut-off times.
- Ensure freight is loaded, secured and transported in accordance with load restraint requirements.
- Complete all required paperwork, electronic records & proof of delivery documentation.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections & report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Comply with NHVR regulations, fatigue management requirements, work diary obligations and road transport legislation.
- Communicate effectively with management, and other team members regarding freight movements and delays.

Yard Duties

- Assist with loading and unloading freight as required.
- Sort, organise and stage freight for scheduled departures and deliveries.
- Assist with moving trailers and positioning equipment safely within the yard.
- Maintain a clean,



tidy and organised yard and work area.
- Conduct basic checks of trailers and equipment & report any faults or damage.

Work Schedule The role operates Monday to Friday, with freight collection times varying depending on the driver's location and the scheduled run.

- Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Freight collections from 12:00 noon onwards.
- Tuesday and Thursday: Freight collections from 3:00 pm onwards.

Start and finish times, travel requirements and yard duties will depend on the driver's location and operational requirements. Applicants may be based in Port Augusta, Adelaide or anywhere between the two locations, subject to the operational requirements of the role.

Essential Requirements

- Current Multi Combination (MC) Unrestricted driver's licence.
- Current High Risk FL ticket
- Demonstrated experience driving heavy combination vehicles, linehaul operations (desirable)
- Sound knowledge of load restraint, vehicle safety & fatigue management
- Strong commitment to safe driving practices & compliance at all times
- Ability to safely handle freight &undertake; physical yard duties.
- Good communication skills and a reliable, professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively & meet scheduled deadlines.

· Satisfactory driving history · Full Australian working rights – NO visas or conditions
