In this role as a Plant Operator (Backhoe), you will be performing plant operation and other duties such as general water and wastewater maintenance work, including clearing blockages, water jetting, manhole construction and rehabilitation, water quality testing and emergency repairs, to contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Infrastructure Services Directorate.

STATUS:

Permanent, Full-time

HOURS OF WORK:

76 hours per fortnight | 9-day fortnight

PAY LEVEL:

$2,660.90 per fortnight (Level 5) + Construction Allowance ($84.70 per fortnight)

Plus 12% Superannuation and 17.5% Annual Leave Loading in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award.

Pay rate dependant on relevant skills and experience.

MANDATORY LICENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

- A Class C (car)



licence or greater is required for this role.
- An Occupational Health & Safety Construction Induction Card (White Card); or the ability to obtain.
- Statement of Attainment for the relevant plant from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) – Backhoe.
- A person in this position will need to hold a current certificate for Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Parts 1 & 2; or the ability to obtain.
- Immunisation record indicating Hepatitis A&B; vaccinations or immunity; or the ability to be vaccinated.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater construction and maintenance techniques and operational procedures.
