About the role

CQHHS is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN, Grade 5) to work across Emergency and Rural services at Biloela Hospital. This role requires flexibility to work across all shifts in a 24/7 environment, with on-call duties as required and adherence to an 8-hour shift break agreement. You will play an important role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting emergency presentations and meeting the healthcare needs of the local community.

Key responsibilities

- Provide high-quality patient care across Emergency and Rural services.
- Work across all shifts in a 24/7 environment.
- Undertake on-call duties as required.
- Perform patient triage and clinical assessments.
- Undertake IV cannulation.
- Respond effectively to emergency presentations and changing patient needs.
- Contribute to secure,



effective and patient-centred care within a rural healthcare setting.

About you

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Grade 5 nursing experience.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Current triage competency.
- Demonstrated IV cannulation skills.
- Previous Emergency and Rural Nursing experience.
- Ability to work flexibly across all shifts in a 24/7 environment.
- Availability to undertake on-call duties as required.
