Globe 24-7 are partnering with an ASX-listed gold company to recruit a Safety and Training Partner in Western Australia. Our client is developing its processing infrastructure and requires a practical safety professional to support a construction-stage project. This opportunity combines frontline safety and training responsibilities with emergency preparedness, with ongoing work beyond the processing facility build.

The Role The Safety & Emergency Training Partner will hold a critical site-based position, working back-to-back with an existing incumbent to maintain continuity of safety, training and emergency response coverage. The role reports to the Group OHS Superintendent, with a dotted reporting line to the Construction Manager.

Approximately 70% of the role focuses on safety and 30% on emergency response team activities. The successful candidate will support our client’s site personnel during construction, working alongside the construction contractor’s safety representatives while maintaining clear accountability for our client’s requirements. A construction-focused background and an adaptable, collaborative approach will be particularly valuable.

The Key Responsibilities

- Deliver practical safety advice to site personnel and supervisors throughout processing facility construction activities.
- Conduct workplace inspections and safety observations, identifying hazards and following corrective actions through to completion.
- Support task risk assessments and reviews of safe work procedures for changing construction activities and site conditions.
- Coordinate site inductions, safety training and competency verification, maintaining accurate training records and identifying capability gaps.

- Maintain emergency response readiness through equipment checks, response planning and coordination of ERT training and exercises.
- Provide mines rescue and healthcare support within the scope of qualifications, site procedures and emergency arrangements.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, establish contributing factors and support practical measures to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with contractor safety personnel to coordinate interfaces and reinforce consistent site safety expectations.
- Prepare safety, training and emergency preparedness reports, escalating significant risks and outstanding actions to site leadership.
- Maintain effective back-to-back handovers covering incidents, training priorities, emergency readiness and emerging construction risks.

The Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

- Recognised qualifications in occupational health and safety relevant to a site-based advisory role.
- A recognised training qualification supporting the delivery and assessment of workplace learning.
- Certificate III in Mines Rescue.
- A certificate qualification in healthcare.
- A minimum of three years of experience in mines rescue and healthcare support.
- Demonstrated emergency response team experience, with an Emergency Services Officer or Medical Emergency Services Officer background.
- Experience supporting safety in construction environments,

preferably with greater exposure to construction than operational activities.

Skills & Personal Attributes

- Practical knowledge of Western Australian work health and safety obligations and their application to construction activities.
- Sound understanding of emergency response equipment, readiness checks and coordinated incident response.
- Ability to translate risk assessments and safety requirements into clear, workable guidance for site teams.
- Robust recordkeeping and reporting skills across safety actions, training matrices and emergency preparedness activities.
- Clear communication and relationship-building skills when working with supervisors, contractors and frontline personnel.
- An open-minded, flexible approach that balances consistent standards with changing project conditions.
- Sound judgement under pressure and a collaborative approach to resolving issues without unnecessary rigidity.

The Rewards

- Salary package with a short-term incentive payment.
- Ongoing work beyond the processing facility construction phase.
