Outstanding Southern Grammar is seeking a Secondary Mathematics Teacher to present the Mathematics curriculum, guide student learning and contribute to the life of the School. Our vision is to Create YOUR impact, grounded in Respect, Integrity, Courage and Compassion.

Set on the shores of Oyster Harbour in Albany, Great Southern Grammar is an independent Christian co-educational school for day and boarding students from Early Childhood to Year 12.

The Role You will teach secondary students, support their academic progress and help maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment.

- Present the prescribed Mathematics curriculum to secondary school students using a range of teaching techniques and educational resources.
- Guide classroom discussions and supervise student learning activities.
- Prepare, administer and assess tests, assignments and other assessment tasks, and record student results.
- Discuss student progress and educational development with students, parents and other teaching staff.
- Maintain discipline and support a positive learning environment within the classroom and school.
- Maintain class records and other scholastic records.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities and school events.
- Assist with co-curricular, sporting, excursion and other student-related activities as required.




- Perform other duties consistent with the position of Secondary School Teacher.

What you will bring

- A relevant tertiary teaching qualification recognised in Australia.
- Current registration, or eligibility to obtain registration, with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
- Demonstrated ability to teach Mathematics within a secondary school environment.
- Strong classroom management, communication and student engagement skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents and colleagues.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Working With Children Check
