Leading the secondary design for an engineering consultancy, comprised of heavy-hitters.

This a rapid-growing specialist engineering consultancy, focused on the energy sector. Founded by experienced professionals from major EPC's. This team has grown from 5 to 20 people in under two years.

The core strength today sits in primary electrical design & construction support for transmission,

renewables and data centre projects. Delivering high-quality work for major EPCs (including Acciona, CPP and UGL),

What is currently lacking. Is a genuine secondary subject-matter expert who can stand in front of the client, own the conversation & build a secondary team around them.

This is a leadership opportunity to establish and grow the secondary design capability from day one. You will work side-by-side with the leadership team, interface directly with clients (utilities, EPCs and developers), and build the people and processes.

- A significant data centre project
- Wind farm design
- Ongoing SME support
- Offshore wind-related works
- ECI support for multiple developers

Key Responsibilities

Lead all secondary design activities protection, control, circuitry, telecommunications and associated systems across transmission, renewable and data centre projects

Act as the primary client-facing secondary expert: run technical discussions, defend design decisions, and give clients (and EPCs) complete confidence.

Build and mentor a secondary design team, recruit, develop and lead the people who will deliver the work under your guidance.

Interface closely with primary design, civil/structural partners and project leadership to deliver integrated electrical packages.

Establish standards, templates, processes and quality systems for secondary design so the capability scales beyond any single individual.
