Are you an experienced Contracts Administrator looking to play a key role in the planning and execution of major mining projects?

Our client is an ASX-listed resources company pursuing the development of a major open-cut copper project in the Northern Territory. As the business progresses through planning and execution activities, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join the team.

Based in Milton, Brisbane and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, this position will support a portfolio of operational and project-related contracts, partnering closely with project, operational and commercial stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes across both the planning and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop sourcing strategies, tender documentation and evaluation criteria.
- Lead end-to-end procurement and tendering activities.
- Support the planning and execution of contracts across mining operations and projects.
- Prepare, negotiate and administer a broad range of commercial contracts.
- Manage contract variations, claims, risks and compliance obligations.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual deliverables are achieved.
- Maintain contract management plans, registers and reporting.
- Review progress claims and support commercial governance processes.
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to internal stakeholders.




- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, contractors and project teams.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator or Senior Contracts Administrator within the mining sector.
- Experience supporting open cut mining operations.
- Experience within hard rock mining environments, particularly copper and/or gold, will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of procurement, tendering and contract lifecycle management.
- Experience managing high-value operational, maintenance, EPC/EPCM, construction or project-based contracts.
- Well-developed commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively across both project planning and execution phases.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Law, Engineering or a related discipline are desirable.
- Full working rights in Australia.
