About the Role /n This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team on an initial three-month contract, with the potential for extension and permanency. You will take a lead role in maintaining the integrity of financial information across the general ledger, supporting monthly and statutory reporting, and providing technical accounting advice across an asset-intensive organisation. /n Key responsibilities will include: /n /n

- Providing technical accounting advice

/n

- Preparing monthly financial reports, including general ledger, balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements

/n

- Managing general ledger reconciliations, financial controls and the resolution of variances

/n

- Overseeing asset accounting processes, including asset recognition, capitalisation, depreciation, impairment and valuation

/n

- Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements, audit working papers and external audit requirements

/n

- Supporting budget and forecasting processes

/n

- Identifying and implementing process improvements

/n

- Providing specialist financial advice to internal stakeholders and supporting senior reporting requirements

/n /n /n About You /n To be successful in this role, you will have: /n /n





- CA or CPA qualification, supported by a relevant accounting or commerce degree

/n

- Demonstrated technical financial accounting experience within a complex organisation

/n

- Experience preparing statutory annual financial statements for audit

/n

- Strong monthly accounting experience, including general ledger management, reconciliations and balance sheet integrity

/n

- Demonstrated asset accounting experience, ideally within an infrastructure or other asset-intensive organisation

/n

- Strong ERP and Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to interrogate data and produce meaningful financial reports

/n

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

/n

- The ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Attractive hourly rate of $80.00–$90.00 per hour + super
