About the Opportunity

Clarke McEwan is an established Chartered Accounting and advisory firm with more than 30 years in practice and offices in Maroochydore and Brisbane. We act for all business types and medical and skilled practices providing tax, structuring and business advisory services.

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant / Manager to join our Maroochydore team. This is a senior leadership role in which you will manage a portfolio of clients while leading, developing and reviewing the work of a small team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs, including financial statements, tax returns and year-end compliance
- Lead and supervise the team, allocating work and managing workflow and deadlines
- Review work prepared by staff and provide technical guidance and feedback
- Deliver proactive tax planning and business advisory services to clients
- Work alongside the Director on complex tax, restructuring and advisory engagements
- Contribute to improving firm processes, systems and service delivery

About You





- CA or CPA qualified
- Substantial Australian public practice experience at senior or manager level
- Strong technical tax knowledge across all entity types
- Proven experience supervising staff and reviewing work
- Confident client communicator with sound commercial judgement
- Proficient with cloud platforms; experience with Xero, XPM, FYI Docs and BGL360 highly regarded
