In order to continue caring for our amazing clients, we are offering this opportunity to be part of the team here at Byford Accountants. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive taxation services to our diverse client base, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing annual income tax returns for individual and business clients

- Providing strategic tax planning advice to optimise clients' tax positions

- Assisting with the preparation of quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS)

- Conducting research and analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities for clients

- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on behalf of clients

- Looking for opportunities to grow your clients' businesses

What we're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent, with a focus on taxation

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a tax accountant or similar role

- Detailed knowledge of Australian taxation laws and regulations





- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and client-facing abilities

- Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems

- Commitment to continuous professional development

- Knowledge of Division 7A Loans, FBT, CGT, GST, Trust Law and Company Law will be crucial in this role, as we have a large number of big businesses who operate through complex structures (Property Trusts/Bucket Companies/SMSF's, just to name a few)
