Role Purpose

Lead the design, implementation and adoption of an enterprise Service Virtualisation capability across Australia Post to accelerate shift-left testing, reduce environment dependency bottlenecks and improve delivery velocity across API, integration and event-driven ecosystems.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong experience in Service Virtualisation and Integration Testing.
- Hands-on expertise with WireMock and/or Mountebank.
- Experience with BlazeMeter Service Virtualisation or similar enterprise SV platforms.
- Solid understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML and OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience with Kafka, MQ/JMS and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of Contract Testing (Pact or equivalent).
- CI/CD experience using GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Strong stakeholder management and solution architecture skills.

Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership

- Define the Service Virtualisation roadmap, standards and operating model.
- Establish governance, asset management and reusable virtual service catalogues.




- Drive adoption across Quality Engineering, Architecture, Integration and Delivery teams.

Solution Design & Implementation

- Design and implement virtual services for:
- REST APIs
- SOAP Services
- GraphQL APIs
- Kafka/Event-driven integrations
- MQ/JMS messaging
- File-based integrations (SFTP/APST)
- Build configurable, reusable and stateful virtual services supporting both positive and negative test scenarios.

Tooling & Automation

- Lead evaluation and implementation of:
- BlazeMeter Service Virtualisation
- WireMock
- Mountebank
- Pact / Contract Testing frameworks
- Integrate virtual services into CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks.
- Establish repository and versioning strategy for virtual services and test data.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Facilitate workshops with Architecture, Platform, Integration and QE teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and testers.
- Define onboarding and support processes for virtual service consumers.
