Drive Enterprise Architecture & Digital Transformation

We have a great opportunity to work on meaningful transformation projects while gaining exposure to some of the latest AI and Microsoft technologies.

We're seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a large local government organisation in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, supporting a range of enterprise technology and digital transformation initiatives.

This is an initial 12-week contract with a likely extension as new year budgets are released. The role offers the opportunity to work across modern cloud technologies, enterprise applications, integrations, data platforms and emerging AI capabilities while influencing key technology decisions across the organisation.

The Opportunity

As the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing end-to-end technology solutions that align with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards and digital strategy.

You will partner with stakeholders across the business, project teams and vendors to deliver scalable, secure and fit-for-purpose solutions across applications, integrations, data and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design end-to-end solution architectures across multiple technology domains.
- Translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
- Define architecture standards, roadmaps and best practices.
- Lead solution design for enterprise applications, integrations and cloud platforms.
- Design API and integration patterns across business systems.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and SaaS platforms.
- Support the adoption of AI,



automation and Microsoft technologies.
- Produce architecture documentation and governance artefacts.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, project teams and external vendors.
- Ensure solutions meet security, governance and compliance requirements.

About You You are an experienced Solution Architect who can comfortably bridge the gap between business and technology. You enjoy stakeholder engagement as much as technical design and can influence outcomes across a diverse technology environment.

Essential Experience

- Proven experience as a Solution Architect , Enterprise Architect or Technology Architect .
- Strong Microsoft ecosystem experience including Azure and Microsoft 365 .
- Enterprise integration and API architecture experience.
- Experience with SaaS, ERP, CRM and corporate business systems.
- Strong understanding of application, data and technology architecture principles.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with vendors and project delivery teams.

Highly Regarded

- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Dynamics 365.
- Microsoft Copilot and AI technologies.
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification.
- Local Government experience.
- Boomi, SSIS or similar integration technologies.
