Presales Solution Architect – SharePoint, Copilot, Purview

About the role
You'll sit between sales and delivery: advising customers on their Microsoft 365 strategy, shaping requirements, designing solutions across SharePoint, Copilot and Purview and potentially overseeing implementation so what was sold is what gets built.

Customer-facing role suited to someone who can act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders, whiteboard an architecture in a workshop, write the proposal that wins the work, and stay close enough to delivery to keep it on track.

Key responsibilities

- Partner with account executives to qualify opportunities and lead technical discovery with customers
- Meet prospects and customers to listen to their problems, needs and requirements, then ask probing questions to define their desired future state
- Present relevant industry use cases that show customers what's possible with Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Copilot
- Act as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on Microsoft 365 roadmaps, governance, Copilot readiness and up-to-date workplace adoption
- Run requirements workshops with business and IT stakeholders, translating business problems into clear technical requirements
- Deliver advisory engagements such as current-state assessments, readiness reviews and roadmaps that lead into implementation work




- Produce technical blueprints and architecture artifacts that set out the target-state solution
- Author proposals, statements of work, solution designs, effort estimates and responses to RFPs and tenders
- Design end-to-end solutions across SharePoint Online, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio), Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 Copilot
- Architect information management, intranet and document management solutions on SharePoint
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to delivery consultants and developers

Essential skills and experience

- Proven advisory experience, guiding senior business and IT stakeholders on Microsoft 365 strategy, governance and adoption, and building credibility at executive level
- Deep expertise on SharePoint Online solutions (intranets, document management, information architecture)
- Practical experience with Microsoft Purview: sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, eDiscovery and information protection
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness, deployment or adoption, including permissions and oversharing remediation
- Experience overseeing implementation and guiding delivery teams through to go-live
- Strong written skills for proposals, tender responses and design documentation
