About the Role

We're seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to join our new Avenue Dental Stafford practice.



This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a genuine passion for surgical dentistry and wants to work alongside experienced clinicians performing a range of advanced dental procedures.

You'll play an important role in supporting our surgical team, ensuring exceptional clinical standards and helping patients feel comfortable, confident and cared for throughout their treatment journey.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

- Assisting clinicians with surgical procedures, including dental implants, extractions and other advanced dental treatments.
- Preparing surgical rooms, instruments and equipment to ensure procedures run efficiently.
- Maintaining exceptional infection control, sterilisation and surgical aseptic standards.
- Supporting the team with IV sedation and general anaesthetic procedures within your training, qualifications and scope of practice.
- Coordinating surgical setups, equipment and materials to ensure smooth clinical workflows.
- Providing compassionate patient care before, during and after surgical procedures.
- Working collaboratively with our clinicians and wider team to deliver an outstanding patient experience.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about surgical dentistry, takes pride in their clinical skills and genuinely loves being part of a high-performing team. You'll thrive in this role if you are:

- Experienced in dental assisting, ideally with exposure to surgical procedures or implant dentistry.
- Confident working in a clinical environment with a strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation protocols.
- Highly organised,



proactive and able to anticipate the needs of clinicians.
- Calm under pressure, adaptable and comfortable working in a busy surgical environment.
- A fantastic communicator who genuinely cares about patients and their experience.
- Eager to learn, develop new skills and grow your career in advanced dentistry.
- A positive team player who brings energy, enthusiasm and a great attitude to work!

Experience in surgical dentistry, dental implants or sedation procedures will be highly regarded. However, we're also open to experienced Dental Assistants who have a strong interest in developing their surgical skills and are excited to learn.
