Principal Security Specialist (Checkpoint & Palo Alto)
Join a high-performing Security Operations team and play a key role in delivering critical security infrastructure services within a fast-paced managed services setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security professional to lead firewall initiatives, support enterprise clients, and help shape future security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery and due diligence of existing Check Point firewall environments, including documentation, security posture assessment, and supportability analysis.
- Create road maps for transition from Checkpoint firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls
- Provide ongoing administration, maintenance, and technical support for Check Point firewall infrastructure.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and operational handover activities to internal support teams.
- Develop recommendations and migration strategies to transition clients to more cost-effective and manageable security solutions.
- Assist with the planning and execution of firewall migration and transformation projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
About You
- Proven experience managing and supporting Check Point firewall environments in complex enterprise or MSP environments.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating, designing, or delivering firewall transitions from Check Point to Palo Alto Networks solutions.
- Strong understanding of network security, firewall policies, threat prevention,
and security best practices.
- Experience conducting technical assessments, documenting environments, and developing strategic recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and participate in a 24x7 on-call support roster.
