About Bungalow Security Group

Bungalow Security Group is a Sydney-based security provider recruiting experienced, professional and reliable security personnel to join our dedicated in-house team.

Successful candidates will be assigned to our sister venue, House of Bungalow, an exciting new premium hospitality and entertainment destination in the heart of Surry Hills.

Our primary focus is Bungalow Below, a sophisticated cocktail bar and late-night nightclub offering premium hospitality, DJs, music and entertainment.

We're building a security team that reflects the standards of the venue: professional, confident, approachable and capable of maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for every guest.

We are recruiting for three positions, all requiring immediate availability.

1. Security Supervisor – Full-Time

Salary: $95,000 per annum + superannuation

Roster:

- Wednesday to Sunday

- Approximately 7:30 pm–3:30 am, with adjustments to meet full-time paid hours

- 38 paid hours per week on average

- Monday and Tuesday off

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Security Supervisor to oversee our security operations and lead a dedicated team of crowd controllers.

Reporting to Bungalow Security Group management and working closely with the venue's Nightlife Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, professional and efficient operation of the venue.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, supervise and coordinate security personnel during trading hours.

- Oversee door operations, patron screening, identification checks and venue access.

- Manage crowd movement, capacity controls and patron safety.

- Handle incidents, conflict resolution and patron removals professionally and lawfully.

- Conduct pre-shift briefings, allocate staff positions and oversee shift handovers.

- Maintain accurate incident reports and security records.

- Support compliance with NSW liquor licensing requirements and security procedures.

- Liaise with venue management and emergency services where required.

- Maintain high standards of team presentation, conduct and customer service.

- Identify potential risks and take proactive steps to prevent incidents.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience leading security teams in busy licensed venues, nightclubs or entertainment environments is essential.

You must be a confident leader with sound judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.





We want someone who leads from the front, takes ownership of their responsibilities and understands the importance of balancing safety, compliance and hospitality.

2. Security Officers / Crowd Controllers – Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 per annum + superannuation

Roster:

- Wednesday to Sunday

- Approximately 7:30 pm–3:30 am, with adjustments to meet full-time paid hours

- 38 paid hours per week on average

- Monday and Tuesday off

We are seeking experienced security professionals looking for stable, long-term employment within a premium nightlife environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct patron identification checks and manage venue entry.

- Monitor patron behaviour, crowd movement and occupancy levels.

- Identify and respond to potential security risks.

- Manage difficult situations calmly and professionally.

- Assist with incident response, conflict resolution and safe patron removals.

- Support responsible service of alcohol and venue compliance procedures.

- Maintain a welcoming, professional and approachable presence.

- Work closely with fellow security officers and venue management.

We are looking for individuals who are proactive, dependable and capable of working confidently in a busy late-night environment.

3. Security Officers / Crowd Controllers – Part-Time

Hourly Rate: $40 per hour base + applicable penalty rates + superannuation

Roster:

- Primarily Friday and Saturday

- Evening and late-night shifts, generally between 7:30 pm and 3:00 am

- Approximately 2 shifts per week, depending on operational requirements

- Consistent, ongoing roster opportunities

We are also recruiting experienced part time security officers to support our weekend nightlife operations.

This position is suited to professionals seeking regular weekend shifts with a dedicated security team at one premium venue.

You will support door operations, patron safety, crowd management and incident prevention while maintaining excellent standards of professionalism.

Essential Requirements – All Positions

To be considered, applicants must have:

- A current NSW Class 1A security licence authorising crowd-control duties.

- Current NSW RSA competency.

- Previous security experience in licensed venues, bars, nightclubs or entertainment venues.

- Strong conflict-resolution and de-escalation skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.





- A professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.

- Confidence working in busy, high-pressure late-night environments.

- Sound judgement, situational awareness and a proactive approach to safety.

- Reliability, punctuality and strong teamwork skills.

- Availability to work the advertised late-night and weekend roster.

- Immediate availability to commence employment.

Previous experience working in premium nightlife venues, high-volume hospitality environments or supervisory security positions will be highly regarded.

Advertised remuneration is indicative. Final salary, applicable penalties, allowances, breaks and employment conditions will be confirmed in accordance with the relevant industrial instrument and employment agreement.
