About the role

As a Tax Accountant with a minimum of 5 years experience, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients and delivering a broad range of taxation and compliance services. You will work closely with business owners, investors, trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and tax compliance. It is significant that you have experience working with multi entity clients understanding tax flow and asset protection mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

- Preparation of annual financial statements for trusts and companies using Xero

- Preparation of annual tax returns for trusts, partnerships, companies, and individuals

- Preparation and lodgement of BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements)

- Review and oversight of bookkeeping transactions and client records

- Preparation and maintenance of fixed asset schedules

- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds using BGL software

- Liaising directly with clients and providing practical taxation and compliance advice

- Managing workflow and meeting client deadlines with minimal supervision

About you

- Registration as a Tax Agent (or the ability to obtain registration in the near term)

- A minimum of 5 years public practice accounting and taxation experience





- Advanced working knowledge of Xero, including financial statement preparation, tax return preparation, BAS and IAS preparation, bookkeeping review and reconciliation, and fixed asset management

- Significant experience using BGL Super software for the preparation of SMSF financial statements and tax returns

- Strong technical taxation knowledge across individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, and SMSFs

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- The ability to work independently and manage a client portfolio with minimal supervision

- Solid attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service
