Ongoing sheetmetal and lagging work in Sydney, with site and travel allowances paid on top. An established commercial and industrial insulation and sheetmetal contractor is taking on experienced tradespeople who can fabricate, clad and lag.

Terms and conditions

- Full-time, ongoing position

- Site allowance and travel allowance paid on top of your rate (full rate breakdown provided at application)

- Superannuation at 12%

- Leading hand allowance where you lead a crew

- Ongoing project work across commercial and industrial sites

- Workshop base in Sydney, with sites across Sydney and some regional NSW

An established Sydney contractor delivering pipe and duct insulation, metal cladding and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) ductwork on commercial and industrial projects. The work is mostly in Sydney, with some regional NSW.

What you will be doing

- Fabricating and installing metal cladding over insulated pipework, vessels and tanks

- Lagging pipes, vessels, tanks and ducts with insulation, hot and cold





- Fabricating ductwork and fittings in the workshop from site measurements

- Installing flexible duct, grilles, diffusers, plenum boxes and dampers

- Taking site measurements and working to programme

- Removing existing insulation and cladding for repair or replacement

- Leading a small crew day to day, if you have the experience and want that responsibility

What I am looking for

- A sheetmetal fabrication background, ideally trade qualified (Certificate III in Engineering, Fabrication Trade, or equivalent experience)

- Hands-on cladding fabrication and installation experience

- Insulation installation experience, hot work, cold work or both

- Able to read drawings and take your own site measurements

- Current White Card (General Construction Induction)

- Working at heights and confined space tickets are desirable

- Current driver licence and own transport

- The right to work in Australia
