Adaptcare Disability Services is seeking experienced, compassionate High Intensity Support Workers to support a young child with complex disability and health needs in the family home in Two Rocks. We are looking for reliable workers who are confident providing attentive care, following individual care plans and working respectfully alongside the child's family.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with peg feeding and care in accordance with the current feeding plan.
- Monitor for seizures and follow the individual seizure management and emergency plans.
- Support airway and secretion management within your training and assessed competency.
- Provide personal care, positioning and skin protection.
- Remain awake and attentive throughout active overnight shifts.
- Communicate promptly with the family and supervising RN about concerns.
About you
- Experience supporting children with complex disability or health needs.
- Experience with enteral feeding and seizure support.
- Solid observation, communication and documentation skills.
- A calm, dependable approach and respect for family routines and privacy.
- Willingness to complete participant-specific training and competency assessment before working independently.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
- Current WA Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
- Evidence of identity and Australian work rights.
