As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on Residential Site Supervisor to join our construction team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has an excellent eye for detail, communicates effectively with clients and trades, and takes ownership of delivering high-quality homes on time.

About the Role

As our Site Supervisor, you will oversee multiple residential construction projects from site commencement through to practical completion.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of workmanship, coordinating trades, managing construction progress, conducting regular quality inspections and ensuring clients are kept informed throughout their building journey.

You will be supported by our dedicated office and project coordination team, allowing you to focus on site supervision, construction quality, client communication and timely project delivery.

We are looking for a proactive supervisor who identifies problems early, takes responsibility and ensures issues are properly resolved.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Supervision & Quality Control

- Supervise multiple residential construction sites from commencement to handover.

- Conduct regular and thorough site inspections at all critical construction stages.

- Ensure work complies with approved plans, engineering specifications, NCC requirements and applicable Australian Standards.

- Identify construction defects and workmanship issues early and arrange timely rectification.

- Inspect slabs, frames, roofing, brickwork, waterproofing, fit-outs and finishing works.

- Ensure correct materials, specifications and approved selections are followed.

- Maintain high standards of site cleanliness, presentation and workplace safety.

- Conduct comprehensive pre-handover inspections to minimise defects at practical completion.

Trade Management & Construction Scheduling





- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure construction activities are completed efficiently and on schedule.

- Monitor daily site progress and proactively address potential delays.

- Ensure trades are prepared, materials are available and sites are ready before work commences.

- Hold subcontractors accountable for quality workmanship, safety and agreed completion dates.

- Work closely with our project coordination team to maintain accurate construction schedules.

- Resolve construction issues promptly and minimise unnecessary delays and rework.

Client Communication & Customer Service

- Maintain regular, professional and proactive communication with clients throughout construction.

- Provide clients with weekly construction progress updates, including completed works, upcoming activities and expected milestones.

- Keep clients informed of any construction delays, site issues or changes affecting their building journey.

- Respond promptly and professionally to client questions and concerns.

- Coordinate with the office team to ensure consistent and accurate client communication.

- Provide construction progress photographs and maintain clear records of client updates.

- Build positive relationships with homeowners and ensure a skilled customer experience from commencement through to handover.

Compliance, Inspections & Reporting

- Ensure mandatory building inspections, certifications and compliance requirements are completed at the appropriate stages.

- Maintain accurate site inspection records, progress photographs and defect reports.

- Update construction management software with site progress, outstanding issues and required actions.

- Identify potential construction risks and communicate them to management early.

- Ensure defects and outstanding works are followed through to completion.

- Provide management with regular updates on construction progress, quality and site performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:





- Minimum 5 years' experience in residential construction, including proven experience as a Site Supervisor.

- Strong technical understanding of residential construction, building methods and construction sequencing.

- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.

- Excellent attention to detail and strong defect identification skills.

- Proven experience managing multiple residential construction sites.

- Strong subcontractor management and scheduling capabilities.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to keep clients informed and manage expectations professionally.

- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, solutions-focused attitude.

- Good understanding of Queensland residential construction regulations, NCC and applicable Australian Standards.

- Confidence using construction management software and maintaining digital site records.

- Current driver's licence and Construction White Card.

A carpentry or building trade background, relevant construction qualifications and experience in volume residential building will be highly regarded.
