EEF is a coffee-focused café built around curiosity, thoughtful service and a shared interest in learning.

We work primarily with Market Lane, alongside our own roasted coffees and rotating guests such as DAK, Headlands Coffee and Mecca. Our menu spans espresso, pour-over, signature drinks and specialty tea.

Our bar features a Synesso MVP Hydra espresso machine, paired with Mazzer Kold S and Mahlkönig E80S grinders. We’ve hosted a coffee competition, hold public cuppings and are developing our own roasting setup.

We’re looking for people who care about their work and want to learn, contribute and grow with us.

SENIOR / MAIN BARISTA
Full-time

- Dial in espresso, monitor extraction and maintain consistent coffee quality throughout service.

- Keep the bar organised and running smoothly, with clear communication across the team.

- Monitor stock levels, manage stock rotation and place orders for coffee, milk and bar supplies.

- Track usage and wastage to support efficient daily preparation and ordering.

- Maintain equipment cleanliness, complete routine care and report maintenance needs.

SUPPORTING BARISTA
Full-time, part-time or casual

- Prepare espresso-based drinks, pour-over, signature drinks and specialty teas to our recipes and standards.

- Maintain consistent milk texture,



presentation and order accuracy.

- Support drink sequencing and handover during busy service.

- Prepare ingredients, replenish stock and keep the bar clean and ready for service.

- Help with opening, closing and friendly customer service.

ALL-ROUNDER
Full-time, part-time or casual

- Welcome customers, take orders and provide attentive service.

- Serve food and drinks, clear tables and keep the café welcoming and organised.

- Support restocking, daily preparation and opening and closing tasks.

Hands-on coffee experience is required for barista roles. Across all positions, we value care, reliability, clear communication and a willingness to learn. Weekend availability is required.

PAY

Full-time / part-time: AUD $26.44–$27.97 per hour.
Casual: AUD $33.05–$34.96 per hour, including casual loading.

These are weekday ordinary-time rates based on the applicable Restaurant Award classification, Levels 1–3. Classification will reflect the duties and skills required. Superannuation and applicable weekend, public holiday and overtime rates are additional.
