Fairview Plumbing & Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for 30 to 35 hours per week to join our finance team in O'Connor, WA. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable function. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and ensuring our financial records remain organised and compliant. This is a part-time position 30 to 35 hours per week, offering flexibility whilst supporting our operational finance needs.
What you'll be doing
- Processing and coding supplier invoices into the accounting system (Xero)
- Maintaining vendor files and updating supplier information as required
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
- Preparing and submitting payment reports to management
- Responding to vendor enquiries regarding invoice status and payment queries
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed
What we're looking for
- Proven experience working in an accounts payable or similar finance role
- Sole charge of our accounts inbox
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing financial transactions
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Sound knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Professional communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers
- A reliable approach to meeting deadlines and maintaining confidentiality
- Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate in Accounting or similar (desirable)
