The Role

Reporting to senior management, you will take responsibility for the effective management and performance of our transport operations. You will lead the team, oversee daily operations and ensure our fleet and resources are utilised efficiently to meet customer and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Leading, managing and developing the transport operations team to achieve strong performance and accountability.

- Overseeing daily fleet operations, transport scheduling and resource allocation.

- Monitoring and managing operational KPIs, fleet utilisation, costs and profitability.

- Maintaining high standards of customer service, on-time deliveries and overall service performance.

- Ensuring compliance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility obligations and relevant safety requirements.

- Identifying and implementing operational improvements to increase efficiency, productivity and cost-effectiveness.

- Taking ownership of operational challenges and ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively.

About You





- Proven experience in a Transport Manager or comparable transport leadership role.

- A demonstrated ability to manage operational KPIs and improve business performance.

- Robust people management, leadership and decision-making skills.

- A sound commercial understanding of transport costs, fleet utilisation and profitability.

- Comprehensive knowledge of transport operations, safety and compliance requirements.

- A proactive approach to problem-solving, accountability and continuous improvement.

- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining service standards and operational efficiency.

- Experience in refrigerated transport or food distribution will be highly regarded.
