MAYDAY is partnering with a leading global insurer to recruit a Travel Claims Examiner to join their established and high-performing claims team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing complex claims, working closely with customers and brokers, and taking the next step towards a future leadership pathway.

You'll be responsible for managing and reviewing travel insurance claims from lodgement through to resolution, ensuring fair outcomes, excellent customer service, and compliance with policy and regulatory requirements. You'll also work closely with offshore teams, providing guidance on claim assessments and assisting with more complex matters.

The Role

· Manage a portfolio of travel insurance claims from lodgement through to resolution.

· Assess coverage, reserves, payments, and claim outcomes in line with policy terms and company standards.

· Review claims assessments completed by offshore teams and provide support on more complex matters.

· Act as a referral point for escalated and higher-value claims.

· Maintain regular communication with brokers, claimants, underwriters, and internal stakeholders.

· Investigate claims and make sound decisions based on policy interpretation and available evidence.

· Support broader claims management activities,



including escalations, emergency assistance cases, audits, training, and service provider coordination.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, service standards, and internal processes.

About You

· Previous insurance claims experience is desirable.

· Experience within travel insurance, medical claims, personal accident, or other complex claims environments is highly regarded.

· Strong investigation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Sound understanding of insurance policies, coverage assessments, and claims management principles.

· Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
