Waste Management Consultant

Speedie Waste & Recycle | Geelong and Greater Geelong, Victoria

Position Objective:

To develop, manage, and grow client relationships by providing tailored and sustainable waste management, recycling, and resource recovery solutions. The role promotes Speedie Waste & Recycle’s commitment to sustainability, customer service excellence, and community responsibility.

We serve diverse industries including education, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, markets, government, and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers across the Geelong and Greater Geelong region.

· Conduct site visits to understand customer needs and develop tailored waste and recycling management plans.

· Educate customers on sustainable waste and recycling practices and provide recommendations that align with environmental goals.

· Respond promptly to customer enquiries, prepare quotations, and negotiate service agreements in line with company pricing and policies.

· Manage an established portfolio of clients while prospecting and onboarding new business opportunities.

· Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, proposals, and sales in the company’s CRM system.

· Achieve monthly and annual sales and sustainability targets.

· Report to management on market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for service improvement or innovation.

· Work collaboratively with operations, customer service,



and business teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

· Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities as required.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

· Achievement of monthly/annual sales revenue and sustainability targets.

· Customer satisfaction and retention rates.

· Accuracy and timeliness of sales reporting.

· Compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

· Contribution to the company’s sustainability and corporate responsibility goals.

Experience & Skills Required:

· Demonstrated sales experience.

· Solid business development and account management skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proven ability to build rapport and maintain long term client relationships.

· Strong negotiation and presentation skills.

· Solid time management, planning, and organisational abilities.

· Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft 365 applications.

· Current Victorian Driver’s Licence (mandatory).

Work Conditions:

· Full time position based in Geelong, with travel throughout surrounds and Greater Geelong region, and team meetings in Melbourne’s North

· Standard business hours apply, with flexibility required to meet client and operational needs.
