Doina Engineering and Construction is one of Australia’s fastest-growing steel fabrication companies based in Kwinana, Western Australia.

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals to join our team as a Weld Inspector / NDT Coordinator. The successful candidate will have experience in coordinating workshop non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and conducting weld inspections within a heavy steel fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding documentation accurately.

- Ensure compliance with applicable welding codes, standards, and quality requirements.

- Coordinate and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR).

- Coordinate daily workshop NDT activities and liaise with NDT service providers.

- Prepare NDT requests and maintain accurate weld maps.

- Collate, review, and maintain welding inspection and quality records.

- Assist in preparing documentation for Material Data Reports (MDR).





- Maintain accurate records and documentation using Microsoft Excel and Word.

Qualifications and Experience

- CSWIP Weld Inspection qualification or equivalent.

- Previous experience in weld inspection and workshop NDT coordination, preferably within heavy steel fabrication.

- Sound knowledge of applicable welding codes, standards, and inspection requirements.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding documentation.

- Solid communication, organisational, and coordination skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
