The Opportunity

As Head of Network Services, you will provide strategic leadership for one of Icon Water's most critical operational portfolios, responsible for the performance, reliability, and ongoing stewardship of Canberra's water and wastewater network infrastructure. Leading a large, multidisciplinary workforce, you will drive operational excellence, network resilience, asset performance, and service delivery outcomes while ensuring the organisation is well positioned to meet future community needs. As a senior leader, you will influence enterprise decision-making, contribute to long‑term strategic priorities, and deliver protected, sustainable, and reliable essential services to over 450,000 Canberrans.

What You Bring

- Extensive senior leadership experience within utilities, infrastructure, engineering, asset‑intensive or other essential service environments.
- Experience leading large operational, field‑based, or technical workforces.




- Proven success managing complex service delivery, operational performance, and water and wastewater network reliability outcomes.
- Strong understanding of asset management, water and wastewater network operations, maintenance, and infrastructure planning principles.
- Experience leading organisational improvement, business transformation, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across executive, regulatory, government, and industry stakeholder environments.
- Experience managing operational risk, safety, compliance and governance obligations.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing substantial budgets, resources, contracts and business performance outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Business or a related discipline or demonstrated relevant experience.
