Rick's Garage is a big, busy American-style diner in Palmwoods with three bars (Retro Bar, Whiskey Bar and Garden Bar) and our own Bakehouse. We're a team of around 60, and we're hiring two people to lead the floor. Both roles are a 4-day working week, with no late nights.

The roles

Senior FOH Duty Manager (4 days, Friday to Monday)

This is the top job on our floor. You own front of house, you set the standard, and the team looks to you on every shift.

- Lead the FOH Duty Manager, supervisors and floor team, and set the bar for service across the diner

- Own the FOH numbers: labour to budget, rosters and timesheet approvals in Tanda

- Run the weekly FOH review and turn what you find into action

- Coach and develop your team so they get better every week

- Work alongside the Senior Bar Duty Manager and cover each other's days off

- Report directly to the Operations Manager

This role is for an experienced hospitality leader who's ready to own an area, make calls without waiting to be told, and be measured on the results.

Duty Manager (4 days, Thursday to Sunday)

You run shifts across the diner and bars, from open to close. You lead the team on the floor, deliver great service, handle what comes up, and finish every shift with a proper shift report. This role suits a strong supervisor or current Duty Manager who wants a explicit structure and room to grow.

What you'll do





- Lead service across the diner and bars, keeping the floor running and the team on track

- Run each shift to budget: labour, timesheets and rosters

- Coach, train and hold your team to standard

- Reply to the Google reviews from your shift and complete your shift report

- Keep the venue compliant with RSA, liquor licensing, food safety and WHS

- Fix problems on the spot, then make sure they don't come back

What you'll bring

- Duty Manager or supervisor experience in a high-volume venue (Senior role: at least 2 years leading a team)

- A current RSA

- Confidence with labour, rosters and numbers (Tanda experience is a bonus)

- Calm under pressure and comfortable making decisions

- Available for the rostered days of the role, including weekends

What you'll get

- No late nights. Even on a Friday or Saturday, managers are usually closed up and out by 10.30pm

- A salary of $70,000 to $75,000 + super, depending on the role and your experience
