Trades Assistant

Flowcrete is an established supplier and manufacturer of concrete boom, line and trailer pumps, with five branches across Australia and New Zealand.

Due to continued company growth, we are seeking a Trades Assistant to join our workshop team and support our Accessory Fitters and Mechanical Fitters.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems and developing their mechanical and hydraulic skills. You will play an important role in the build, installation, maintenance and repair of concrete pumping equipment and associated infrastructure, including trucks, chassis, hydraulics and tanks.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and organise materials, tools and equipment required for workshop activities.
- Assist fitters with the servicing, repair, rebuilding and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Assist with the installation of concrete pumps and booms onto trucks and chassis.
- Assist with truck and chassis modifications as required.
- Support hydraulic, mechanical and general workshop activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment.
- Work in accordance with company standards, procedures and safety requirements.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as directed by the Leading Hand or Workshop Manager.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable,



motivated and keen to develop their skills in a hands-on mechanical environment.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience installing, servicing or repairing mechanical equipment.
- Mechanical or hydraulic experience, which will be highly regarded.
- The ability to identify problems and assist in determining appropriate solutions.
- Valuable English communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
- A positive “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
- A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
