Join Our Friendly General Practice Team!

We are seeking a friendly, professional and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team at our busy general practice. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent organisational skills and is passionate about providing outstanding patient care.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greeting patients and managing appointments, phone calls and enquiries.
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Processing patient billing, Medicare claims and payments.
- Managing correspondence, referrals and incoming results.
- Liaising with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to privacy requirements.
- Assisting with general administrative duties and supporting the clinical team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous medical reception or administration experience, preferably in general practice.




- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A professional, friendly and empathetic manner.
- The ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Confidence using computers and medical practice software.
- A robust understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Knowledge of Best Practice is highly desirable
